Who maintains this site

House Wrap is run by Bartlomiej Standa, a sole trader trading as Elevate Ireland. He writes and checks the pages. Contact: hello@housewrap.ie.

housewrap.ie is not SEAI or a government body and does not award grants.

Sources we use

• SEAI's own grant pages and homeowner guides, for grant amounts and rules.
• Citizens Information, for scheme changes and dates.
• irishstatutebook.ie, for planning law (S.I. No. 341 of 2026).
• SEAI's median installed costs, as published by saveonheat.ie and house2home.ie.
• Irish contractors' and cost guides' own published pages, for per m² prices and worked examples.

How we check a figure

• We read it at its source and record the date we read it and the date the source gives.
• We say whether a price includes VAT, or that the source doesn't say.
• We don't estimate, average across unlike sources, or fill gaps. If a figure can't be confirmed at its source, it's left out.
• Where sources disagree, we show both and say so.

How often

Grant amounts and rules are checked against seai.ie at least once a month, and again whenever SEAI or Citizens Information announce a change. Every grant and price page shows the date its figures were last checked. The current check was done on 28 October 2026.

What we never publish

Reviews, ratings, customer counts, badges or response-time promises. Anything that suggests this site is SEAI or a government body. Prices or grant amounts we haven't confirmed.

Report an error

If a figure is wrong or out of date, email hello@housewrap.ie with the page and the source. We check it at the source, correct the page and update the date.
