About House Wrap
Who runs House Wrap, what happens when you send your number, and where the figures come from.
Who runs it
House Wrap is an introduction service run by Bartlomiej Standa, a sole trader trading as Elevate Ireland.
What this site does
House Wrap shows the SEAI external wall insulation grant for your type of home and what the work typically costs after the grant. Grant amounts come from SEAI's own wall insulation page (checked 28 October 2026). Costs are SEAI's median installed costs for the first half of 2025, as published by saveonheat.ie, and Irish companies' and cost guides' own pages. Every figure is dated, says whether VAT is included, and links to its source.
housewrap.ie is not SEAI or a government body and does not award grants. We don't decide who gets a grant or how much. SEAI does.
Who gets your request
One SEAI-registered external insulation contractor who covers your area. Your number isn't sent to a list of companies. The contractor rings you, looks at the house and gives you a price. Nothing is booked unless you say yes.
For the SEAI grant, the contractor must be on SEAI's register, and the grant must be approved before work starts. You can check any contractor yourself on SEAI's register.
What the grant check does
It asks your home type, whether the home was built and occupied before 31 December 2010, and whether it had a wall insulation grant before. It then shows the SEAI external wall insulation grant for that home and, where we have sourced cost data, what the work typically costs after the grant. It doesn't check your eligibility with SEAI. Only SEAI can approve a grant.
How we keep the figures right
We check SEAI's page and the cost sources and put the date on every figure. If a figure can't be confirmed at its source, we leave it out.
What we don't do
We don't carry out insulation work, and we don't award, process or guarantee grants.
